Do I have to be a WAM member to attend?

Yes. When you register for the conference, you can also sign up for the annual WAM membership; it's all together. No need to do it separately.

Do I need an accepted paper/presentation to attend?

No! Anyone interested in management research is welcome. You can simply register with the link.

What is the registration price?

What else do I need to know about for registration? Is there a special event?

When you're registering, you'll have the option to add on a networking event Friday night for an additional fee. There are 2 options, so choose the one you like most.

1. Tequila & Taco Tasting Event 🥃 🌮
Enjoy a Tequila & Taco Tasting Event at the Hilton Santa Fe Historic Plaza, featuring curated tequila stations paired with delicious taco options in a relaxed, poolside setting designed for easy mingling, with an indoor back-up location available in case of bad weather.

2. One hour Historic Walking Tour 🚶‍♂️‍➡️ 🏜️
Starting at the Hilton Santa Fe Historic Plaza, this one-hour guided walking tour will lead each small group—accompanied by its own guide—through a rotation of stops highlighting the historical and architectural landmarks surrounding the Santa Fe Plaza. We recommend wearing warm clothing as this is a sunset tour.

Is there a consortia or professional development?

Yes, we have a pre-doctoral, doctoral, and junior faculty consortia. Check out info here: https://www.wamonline.org/consortia For this, you need to apply separately from registering. There is a brief online application. If you're accepted, the consortia is comped (i.e., free), but you still have to register and pay for the conference. If you're a student, you'll get the student rate.

I was notified I have an INSPIRATIONAL PAPER presentation; what does this mean?

In this presentation format, you will be given five minutes to present a concise and impactful delivery of your research. Short PowerPoints are encouraged. Then, the audience members will follow with a seven-to-ten-minute question and answer period with the author(s). The goal of each Inspirational Paper session is to provide a collaborative, real-time discussion to elicit rich idea generation for next steps in your research.
